“Cost Less” Material Handling Solutions | Overhead Crane Solution saves Money

“How to save crane cost for your clients” is a question that supplier should be considered which always tops on the list. As a material handling equipment manufacturer and supplier, DQCRANES is working on the question all the time. DQCRANES always tries to help customers to lower their costs.

1)“Cost Less” Pakistan Crane Project

In the year of 2014, one of Pakistan clients came to DQCRANES for an affordable material handling solution. After thorough understanding to the lifting requirement and application conditions, DQCRANES and the Pakistan client worked out a scheme that the main beams were manufactured locally. DQCRANES provided main beam design drawings in 2D or 3D models for client to do production in their local workshop. On the drawings, the key technical points were listed, to make sure all the parameters were right for the crane to make sure the efficiency of crane.

In the scheme, the cost of the Pakistan crane project is much less. The reasons for “cost less” are:

• Shipping charges is saved.
•  Main beam production is completely controlled.
• The tariff is lowered and saved due to the local production of crane main beam.
• Training cost is saved. During the production, DQCRANES helped the client to learn more crane knowledge which is much helpful for crane operation and maintenance in the future.

Now cranes are operated well in the workshop of client with their local manufactured main beams. 2) “ Cost Less” European Crane Solution

According to different workshop conditions, DQCRANES always tries to provide the most economical solution for the client.
If the workshop is under construction, DQCRANES advises to use European standard cranes, because European standard cranes with less wheel load, which can reduce the support steel cost. Moreover, European standard cranes adopts international brand gear motors, reducers, bearings, wire rope etc., all of which make the crane performance more reliable and reduce the maintenance cost during operation; The most important is DQCRANES can provide a lower price comparing with that of European countries do.

3) “Cost Less” Traditional I-beam crane solution

If the workshop is already built up with support columns, DQCRANES recommended to use the traditional I-beam crane. DQCRANES has 30 years manufacturing history, which originally starts from crane parts production. DQCRANES is equipped with skilled technology and experienced engineers, who can produce ideal traditional cranes for you. One European client came and said he preferred China’s traditional cranes, because he believed in China’s long history in manufacturing cranes and the most important is traditional type cranes can save much cost.

4）“Cost Less” Box girder main bean crane solution

For single girder overhead crane, DQCRANES can provide another “cost less” solution. Generally, the main beam of single girder overhead crane is made of I-beam, DQCRANES can provide a special kind of single girder overhead crane, the Box-girder main beam, which is specially designed with electric hoist, shown as the following picture. The design of box girder improves the performance of I-beam type at same time the cost is a little. higher than I-beam type but cheaper than European standard type.

5) “Cost Less” gantry crane solution

If the workshop space is big enough and without support columns, the cost for a gantry crane is less than install an overhead crane.

One Ethiopia client wants to modify his old warehouse to install overhead crane. In order to install the overhead crane, the support columns and bearing beams needs to be installed first, which costs 1.5 times higher than that gantry crane. However, he says there would be two production lines with machineries on both sides of the warehouse, it is more convenient to install overhead crane; finally he decides to build a new warehouse to install overhead crane.

Price is important, but DQCRANES will suggest “cost less” solution on the base of exact working condition. If there is no production lines in the warehouse, gantry crane will be a better solution.
