Wall Jib Cranes - Simple Crane Solutions to Improve Production

26 Oct, 2021

Every manufacturing company wants to streamline their manufacturing process, from incoming raw materials to fabrication, packaging, and shipping. Right lifting equipment can help maintain your workflow and streamline your production process.

There are dozens of overhead crane systems with different applications, that will improve production and help to maintain a constant flow of working materials. Here, we are just going to discuss a simple crane solutions that can help keep your operation running at peak performance.

A simple crane solutions - Wall mounted jib cranes:

  • If your facility is setup in workstations, a series of wall-mounted jib cranes is a cost-efficient way to ensure each work area is equipped with an overhead lift system and downtime is eliminated.
  • Wall-mounted jib cranes require no floor space and no special foundation. They quickly fold out of the way of large overhead cranes, offering the greatest amount of clearance above and below the boom.
  • Wall-mounted cantilever cranes are the most economical choice, and because they require no support structure under the boom, the trolley hoist can travel the full length of the boom.
  • Or contact us to ensure your building structure can withstand the force of a wall-mounted crane.

choose right wall jib cranes

How to choose the right wall jib crane?

  1. Area of rotation: Wall mounted cranes offer 180-degree rotation. Freestanding and movable jib cranes offer 360-degree rotation.
  2. Height Under Boom: The distance from floor to underside of jib crane’s boom is the height under boom. Also factor in hoist size and lifting height needed.
  3. Overall jib crane height: Factor in any attachments, such as electrical entry, so that the crane will be free from overhead obstructions.
  4. Actual working span needed: The working (or hook) distance is roughly the length of the boom minus ½ trolley length at each end.
  5. Power requirements: Will you need power for your jib crane’s motor drive, its trolley, its hoist, or all three? Will the power supply be electric ? Bottom or top entry? Indoor or outdoor use?
  6. Installation: We will review your application and, together with our engineering team, make expert recommendations.
