Customer Company profile

The overhead crane customer is a Sri Lanka Steel Structure plant. It was established in 2002, which firstly started in the manufacturing and distribution business of steel structure in Sri Lanka market. The plant is located in Colombo city, the capital city of Sri Lanka. The Complex built on a 10 acre site, houses pickling line, 6 Hi CVC cold rolling Mill Slitting and rewinding line with an annual capacity of 50000MT. The main products are CRFH (Cold Rolled Full Hard), CRCA (Cold Rolled Closed Annealed), GPFH (Galvanized Plain Full Hard), GC (Galvanized Corrugated).

Crane requirements

The Sri Lanka steel structure plant needs two sets of material handling equipment to lift the steel structure products during and after the productions, as most products weight are 5 tons and 10 tons, their crane requirements are as follow: :
1) Light duty crane is required.
2) Material handling safety is one of the main concerns. It is required the crane operation safety must be ensured while handling the steel materials.

Crane solution

With proficiency, and experience in overhead crane designing, based on the client requirements and the factory conditions, Dongqi Crane designing team provides the customer with 2 sets of single girder overhead crane: 5 ton single girder overhead crane and 10 ton single girder overhead crane. The drawing and price of the overhead cranes are submitted to the customer within 1 hour after we talked to customer.

Features of the overhead crane solution

1. Both overhead cranes are designed with single girder, which is light and small in volume which largely save the working space of the overhead cranes.
2. Both of the overhead cranes are light duty cranes which fully meet the requirements of the clients.
3. Soft and travelling motor are equipped on the overhead cranes. The lifting speed of the motor is 8m/min, and during working, the lifting speed will be transformed from 0.1m/min to 8m/min gradual, which can ensure the lifting safety during overhead crane operation.
