6 Sets of Jib Cranes for Wastewater Treatment Factory in Romania

Overview:

This client is from a global water technology provider that manufactures products for utility, industrial, residential, and commercial water needs.

Workers disassemble the pumps for preventative maintenance or extensive repairs. Pumps are used in diverse applications from wastewater treatment facility to amusement park rides.

Based on their long-term experience with wastewater treatment, the company want to create a custom material handling solution for the new facility.

Solution:

Our customer asked for us, DQCRANES to design a solution consisting of six sets of freestanding jib cranes to meet the requirements of lifting pumps and facility maintenance.

The jib cranes are a custom design incorporating European standard electric chain hoist on a single freestanding column. Each chain hoist has a capacity of 3,000kg, a span of 4.7m, and a height under the boom of 2.95m. This solution provides a large, 360-degree area of coverage to workstation on each side of the column.

This layout gives the mechanics a freer workspace, helps workers keep work areas less cluttered, which is safer and makes it easier to complete work.
