1 Ton Articulating Jib Crane Assists Maintenance of Bridge
The Problem:
Our client comes from a company in Malta, which is in charge of a project to work on bearing retrofits along the bridge’s columns. They have installed access platforms about 20 feet beneath where the bearing retrofit would take place at two locations.
The access platform was the staging area for the project, with structural steel components, tools and other hardware coming from down below. With much of that material weighing several hundred pounds, they needed a way to lift the components from the access platform to the work area.
The Solution:
- According to the requirement and working condition of this lifting equipment, our engineer provided a professional design of articulating jib crane for our client’s reference.
- This articulating jib crane is a freestanding design, one for each of the identical work areas. The 1000kg capacity jib cranes measure 3m+3m of overall span.
- The articulating arm allowed one worker to use one product to unload two conveyor lines, while reaching around two building columns between the two conveyors.
